Don and Fran have  had a love of Quarter Horses their entire lives.  They got started in Quarter Horse Racing and Breeding in 2017.  Their approach is simple, the horse comes first.

Mike is a lifelong horseman with past experience working for both Joe Kirk Fulton and Bobby Cox. He brings an eye for detail and organization to our ranch. He is always ready and willing to visit with a guest and introduce them the horses. 

Mike and his wife, Dr. Leslie Turner, make tremendous leaders for our team. 

Dr. Leslie Turner is our Ranch Veterinarian, providing hands on care to our horses daily. The benefits of having her lifetime of experience and knowledge available daily and onsite is essential in maintaining our goal of exceptional herd health and care. Dr. Turner also handles all aspects of stallion collection, breeding and foaling.

A native of Kansas, Lakota has spent the last six years working side by side with Mike and Leslie. She's a skilled horsewoman, assisting with all aspects of the day to day operation of our breeding farm. In addition to her hands on care of mares, foals and stallions, Lakota uses her riding talent to help guide our young off the track horses towards new careers. 

Joe is a great asset to our team and devoted to carrying out the Cavenaugh mission statement.

Taylor has a special gift for working with all our horses, but especially the babies. She's a true hand when it comes to handling horses through the make up ring and presents them at their very best. 

Jess has had a lifetime passion for horses with involvement in barrel racing, breeding, stallion management and horse racing. In addition to supporting the team and mission at Cavenaugh Quarter Horses, she also operates Rainy Butte Photography. She loves to talk horses and catch people smiling in front of her camera. 

Based out of Oklahoma City, Clint and Renee embrace the Cavenaugh philosophy, always putting the horse first.
